About PRI

The PRI mission is to provide international, unbiased, independent manufacturing process and product assessments and certification services for the purpose of adding value, reducing total cost, and facilitating relationships between primes and suppliers.

Created in 1990 by SAE Inc., PRI is a not-for-profit organization. It exists to advance the interests of the mobility industries (air, land, sea & space) through development of performance standards and administration of quality assurance, accreditation, and certification programs for the benefit of industry, government, and the general public.

PRI is led by a Board of Directors with responsibility for strategic direction and financial stability. The Board is comprised of leading Quality Executives of some of the world’s largest mobility-related companies.

The International Headquarters of PRI are in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA) with a European office in London (UK), an Asia office (China) in Beijing and an Asia office (Japan) in Aichi.

Nadcap: An industry-managed, consensus approach to OEM oversight of special process and product suppliers. Nadcap is an integral part of the supplier management system of most of the world’s aerospace prime manufacturers.

PRI Registrar: An RAB and RvA approved Registrar accredited to certify organizations to a variety of management systems including ISO 9000, AS9100, and ISO 14000. Within the RAB and RvA boundaries, PRI Registrar is committed to facilitating its clients achieving the full benefit possible when implementing the various management system standards.
