This document contains ISO 9001:2000 criteria and additional requirements specific to the quality systems of aerospace industry suppliers.

AS9100 audits are performed by experienced auditors with proven backgrounds in the aerospace industry. Some aerospace contractors will accept a compliance certificate, but more are requesting an actual certification by an approved Registrar Accreditation bodies such as the ANAB, in conjunction with the RMC (Registrar Management Council), monitor the auditors, the audit process and the certification process.
