Memorandums of Understanding A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is an official agreement establishing the principles that will guide the implementation of programs or projects. MoU's establish joint ownership of the common activities, including the Task Groups involved, the areas of activity of the overlap and all documents related to those activities.
Although there are areas of overlap between Task Groups, the expertise related to those activities typically lies within one commodity. MoU's define the base of this expertise and facilitate communication between Task Groups.
To consolidate information related to all current MoU's, a cross matrix was created which identifies Task Groups in which the sharing occurs, details of any affected documents and technolgy and the existence of a MoU.
